Workspace Settings > User Management > Role > Transfer Owner
In this article, we will explore how to transfer ownership of a workspace and how roles are defined after the transfer.
Transferring the ownership of a workspace comes in handy in use cases such as the owner leaving the organization or an internal restructuring and change of role and responsibilities among team members.
- Head to Workspace Settings > User Management
- Click on the role selection drop-down of any team member
- Transfer Owner
- For a particular workspace, the payment information, like card details, email address, and billing address, will remain unchanged even when there's a new owner.
However, the new owner can modify these details by following this guide.
- It's also important to note that the card used for the transferred workspace cannot be used to purchase a new workspace.
If you would like to transfer a single-seat account to another user, simply invite them as a viewer (free seat) and then proceed to transfer the ownership to them from the User Management page.
