Murf Dub Automation API
Automate dubbing for audio and video content
The Murf Dub Automation API enables developers to automate dubbing for audio and video content in multiple languages. It enables you to create dubbed content through API workflows and manage dubbing projects based on your requirements.
It is designed for workflows that require scalable dubbing solutions for content localization, including training videos, marketing content, product demonstrations, and e-learning content.
The API supports two dubbing workflows:
- Transient (Temporary & Lightweight): Generate dubs instantly with temporary storage—output links expire in 72 hours, ensuring secure, API-only processing without storing data on the Murf platform.
- Persistent (Project-Based & Editable): Creates dubbing projects that can be managed through both the API and the Murf Dub platform, allowing you to edit, re-synthesize, perform QA checks, collaborate, and re-download your dubbed content.
How the Dubbing API works
The Murf Dub Automation API follows an asynchronous workflow.
- Create a dubbing job by submitting your audio or video file.
- The API returns a Job ID.
- Check the job status using the Job Status endpoint, or configure a webhook to receive completion notifications.
- Once the job is complete, retrieve the download URL from the response to download your dubbed file.
For persistent projects, you can continue editing and managing your dub within the Murf Dub platform after the job has been created.
Note: API Key for Murf Dub Automation API is different from the one used for other Murf services (like TTS). Make sure to use the key generated from the MurfDub platform.
