The Emphasis feature allows you to control the pace and pitch of each word in your sub-block.
You can access the Emphasis feature from the voice settings panel or double-clicking the word.
To increase the pitch, you can move the node up(from the default/center position) by a level or two, depending on the level of inflection you require. To reduce the pitch, move the node below the center by a level or two.
Similarly, you can increase or decrease the speed by a level or two by moving the mode along the horizontal axis.
You can also change both the pitch and speed of the word. For this, you can place the node at the intersection points.

The Emphasis applied to a word can significantly impact the rest of the sentence. Here are a few ways in which you can create more life-like voiceovers with the Emphasis feature:
- To increase the emphasis/stress on a word, you can either increase the pitch, decrease the speed, or both
- Similarly, to decrease the emphasis/stress on a word, you can increase the speed and decrease the pitch
- After the Emphasis is applied, listen to the preview to see if the stress/emphasis on the other words works for you; if not, try changing the Emphasis for the word that doesn’t work.
