      Speed and Pitch

      This article will explore how your voiceover pacing and pitch can be customized using Speed, Pitch, and Emphasis.

      Speed

      Murf Studio allows users to modify the speed of the voice-over produced. As with human speech, which adapts to the script’s context, adjusting the speed enables you to achieve a more realistic voice-over.

      The speed of a voice-over can be altered at a block and project level by using the Speed settings present at the block level. 

       

       

      Steps

      1. Select a block
      2. Open the Speed menu
      3. Drag the slider to the desired value. (-50% to +50%)
      4. Render the block to preview

      💡 To apply the speed settings to the entire project, click on the three dots to open the block menu and select "Apply Settings to Project > Apply."

       

      Pitch

      Additionally, Murf Studio allows users to adjust the pitch of any generated voice-over. This feature allows for further customization of the voice to your preferences.

      Experimenting with the pitch setting also allows for the creation of multiple character voices using just one voice.

       

      Steps

      1. Select a block
      2. Open the Pitch menu
      3. Drag the slider to the desired value. (-50% to +50%)
      4. Render the block to preview

      💡 To apply the pitch settings to the entire project, click on the three dots to open the block menu and select "Apply Settings to Project > Apply."

       

      Emphasis

      Murf Studio features an Emphasis tool that enables users to fine-tune the speed and intonation of individual words within a sentence, resulting in more natural and captivating voiceovers.

       



      Steps

      1. To access the Emphasis Feature, Open Murf Studio, type your script into the text block, and click on the “Emphasis” option to access the tool.

      2. Adjust Emphasis: Utilize the emphasis graph to adjust the speed, pitch, or a combination of both for specific words you want to emphasize.

      3. Preview Changes: Listen to the preview to ensure the emphasis sounds as intended.

      4. Apply and Save: Once satisfied, apply the changes and save your project.


      This feature is particularly useful for creating dynamic and expressive voiceovers and is included in Business and Enterprise subscriptions.
